A hypercar detailer was losing jobs to a ringing phone.
E-Z Auto Spa 239 details Bugattis, Lamborghinis and McLarens across Naples. When the owner is hands-deep in a car he cannot answer. We built an AI receptionist that answers, qualifies and captures every missed call.

The call
Hear EV take a real call.
A real inbound call from month one. Press play and the transcript follows the recording; EV announces the recording at the start of every call.
01The client
Elite mobile detailing for cars most shops never touch.
E-Z Auto Spa 239 is a premium mobile detailing studio in Naples and Southwest Florida. Owner-operated, it brings a full setup to the client: home, office or private hangar. Over ten years and more than 1,500 exotic vehicles detailed, the work speaks for itself.

02The problem
The owner’s hands were on the car. Not the phone.
Customers call E-Z Auto Spa for one person: the owner. His eye, his standards and a decade spent on cars most shops never touch are the reason they picked up the phone. They want to talk to him, not a helper reading off a script. But when he is hands-deep in a paint correction he cannot answer, and the call goes to voicemail. In a market full of other detailers, callers do not leave a message. They hang up and dial the next name on the list.
$1,095–1,600
The price of a single ceramic coating. One missed call is not a minor inconvenience. It is a lost job worth more than most businesses make on ten sales.
The gap
Handing the phone to a receptionist would only put someone with less expertise between the owner and the customer. He had to stay the one who calls back, without being chained to the phone.
Why it mattersA high-trust, high-ticket business. The customers are demanding and the jobs are valuable. That makes every missed call expensive.
03The brief
A backup receptionist, not a replacement.
The scope was deliberate. Customers call for the owner’s expertise, so replacing him with a robot or a call-center helper was never on the table. We were there to catch the calls he physically could not take and route them straight back to him, and nothing more.
Booking was intentionally left out. A clean handoff, not a fake calendar.
- 01
Answer only when the owner does not pick up
- 02
Qualify the caller across any vehicle, from a daily driver to an eight-figure hypercar
- 03
Capture a complete lead: name, number, vehicle, service, timing
- 04
Notify the owner instantly
- 05
Promise a fast callback, and never pretend to book something it could not
04What we built
One system. Three moving parts. Zero missed opportunities.
- 01
“EV,” the AI voice agent
EV answers forwarded calls in a natural, consultative voice. She opens with a recording disclosure for Florida two-party consent, qualifies across any vehicle, and captures more than twenty structured fields per call. She handles objections, multi-vehicle collections and after-hours calls, and promises a 45-minute callback. She never books and never quotes a final price.
- 02
Instant lead alerts
Seconds after every call ends, the owner gets a formatted notification on his phone: caller, vehicle, service interest, priority, a summary and the callback deadline. He sees the lead before he has wiped his hands.
- 03
The live dashboard
Every call is logged with its transcript and recording. A one-click callback queue shows exactly who still needs a call. Analytics break down service interest, lead source, vehicle type, area, lead quality and timing, so the owner runs on data instead of memory.
05The flow
The owner’s number stays his. EV only steps in when he cannot pick up.
- 01
Missed call
Rings the owner first. No answer forwards it on.

07The math
Recover one job every few months and it has already paid for itself.
Run the numbers the way the owner does. The system runs on a lean, mostly free-tier stack, and each answered call costs about 15 cents to run. Against that, one recovered job is worth $350 to $1,600 or more.
One booked appointment justifies the entire running cost of the system for a year.
In a high-ticket business, the receptionist does not need to catch many calls to pay for itself. It needs to catch the ones that matter.

20
Qualified leads the phone would have dropped.
In its first two months live, EV captured 20 qualified hot and warm leads from genuine callers, including a McLaren owner, in real one to two-minute qualifying conversations. Every one was a call the owner could not have taken in the moment. Every one is now a lead in his queue instead of a voicemail no one left.

Two-month figures from genuine inbound callers, with test and team calls excluded.
“Before I set this system up, I figured I was only missing 3 or 4 calls a month. In reality, I was missing out on 10 to 15 paying customers who wanted to schedule with me every single month, and these are exotic car owners. I’m grateful for it. It works great, I love it, and it literally paid for itself after two weeks.”
